भारतीय किसान यूनियन (भानु) की जिला इकाई, कुशीनगर के जिलाध्यक्ष रामचन्द्र सिंह अपने कार्यकारिणी को भंग करते हुए अपने पद से स्तीफा देते हुए भारतीय किसान यूनियन (अम्बावता) में सम्मलित हो गये| श्री सिंह ने बताया कि राष्ट्रीय नेतृत्व लक्ष्मीगंज बन्द चीनी मिल को चलवाने में नाकाम रही जबकि अगस्त 2019 में यूनियन के राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष ठाकुर भानु प्रताप सिंह लक्ष्मीगंज में आये थे और उन्होंने कहा था कि हम लक्ष्मीगंज बन्द चीनी मिल का मुद्दा राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उठायेगें मगर उनके द्वारा किया गया वादा सिर्फ वादा होकर रह गया और उन्होंने मिल को चलवाने के लिये कोई कार्यवाही नही किये यही कारण है कि हमे भानु गुट को छोडना पड़ा| श्री सिंह ने जनपद में किसान/जनहित मुद्दों को लेकर अनेकों बार लडाई लडें और उन्हें कई जगह पर सफलता भी प्राप्त हुआ| श्री सिंह द्वारा जनपद कुशीनगर के लक्ष्मीगंज बन्द चीनी मिल को चलवाने या यहाँ पर नया चीनी मिल को लगवाने के लिये 2017 से लगातार प्रयासरत है और उनके द्वारा लक्ष्मीगंज बन्द चीनी मिल को चलवाने के लिये 109 दिन लगातार अनिश्चितकालीन धरना प्रदर्शन करके सूबे की सरकार का नीद हराम कर दिए थे| आज श्री सिंह ने बताया कि लक्ष्मीगंज बन्द चीनी मिल चलवाना हमारा और हमारे यूनियन का लक्ष्य ही नही परम कर्तब्य भी है और मैं इस परिक्षेत्र के किसानों को अपने गन्ने को लेकर दर दर भटकने नही देंगें और योगी सरकार को किसान हित में मिल को चलवाने के लिये विवश कर देंगे चाहे इसके लिये हमे अपने प्राणों की आहुति क्यों न देना पड़े| इस मौके पर भाकियू (अम्बावता) के राष्ट्रीय प्रवक्ता/पूर्वी उत्तर प्रदेश प्रभारी कपिल देव राय के द्वारा रामचन्द्र सिंह को जिलाध्यक्ष पद से सुशोभित किया गया और साथ ही साथ मुनि प्रमोद कुमार वर्मा जिला महासचिव, रामपति बौद्ध जिला सचिव, चेतई प्रसाद जिला सचिव, श्रीमती इन्द्रावती महिला जिला अध्क्षय, कुसुम देवी महिला जिला मन्त्री, रामप्यारे शर्मा तहसील अध्यक्ष कप्तानगंज, रामअधार प्रसाद ब्लाक अध्यक्ष रामकोला, जवाहर प्रसाद ब्लाक अध्यक्ष, कप्तानगंज, रधई प्रसाद ग्राम अध्यक्ष देवरियाबाबू और चाँदबली ग्राम अध्यक्ष, लालाछपरा के पद पर नियुक्ति किया गया| इस मौके पर महेश्वर सिंह, जिलाध्यक्ष,गोरखपुर, धीरज मिश्रा युवा मण्डल अध्क्षय, बस्ती, चन्दन पाण्डेय, युवा मण्डल महासचिव, बस्ती, मनोज मिश्र जिलाध्यक्ष, सन्त कवीर नगर, अभिषेक उपाध्याय, जिलाध्यक्ष युवा सन्त कवीर नगर, रामआसरे यादव, मण्डल अध्यक्ष, गोरखपुर, कुबेर मिश्रा, मण्डल सचिव, गोरखपुर, ब्रिजेश शर्मा, जिला महासचिव, महराजगंज के साथ साथ ईश्वर चंद कुशवाहा, रामचन्द्र पटेल, मनोहर पटेल, जगदीश राय, भोरिक यादव तथा अन्य पदाधिकारी और कार्यकर्त्ता मौजूद रहे|
