जिला स्वास्थ्य समिति (शासी निकाय) तथा राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस कार्यक्रम समन्वय बैठक की अध्यक्षता जिलाधिकारी एस0 राजलिंगम ने की। उक्त बैठक का आयोजन कलेक्ट्रेट सभागार में हुआ। उक्त बैठक में पोषण पुनर्वास केंद्र, ग्राम स्वास्थ्य व पोषण दिवस, जननी सुरक्षा योजना, प्रसव पूर्व जांच, स्वास्थ्य उप केंद्र, आशाओं का भुगतान, डाटा फीडिंग, एसएनसीयू, संस्थागत प्रसव, मातृ मृत्यु इत्यादि मुद्दों पर समीक्षा हुई। 
इस क्रम में जिलाधिकारी महोदय ने पोषण पुनर्वास केंद्रों पर मरीज की भर्ती कराए जाने के मामले में कहा कि मामले को गंभीरता से लें एवं केंद्र पर मरीजों की ओक्यूपेंसी बढाये।
ग्राम स्वास्थ्य पोषण के संदर्भ में उपस्थित एम ओ आई सी को उन्होंने कहा कि कुछ चीजों को नियमित मॉनिटरिंग करें। हमारा उद्देश्य होना चाहिए कि गर्भवती महिलाओं तथा बच्चों की प्रतिरोधक क्षमता तथा संस्थागत प्रसव की संख्या बढ़े।
स्वास्थ्य उपकेंद्र की जर्जर स्थिति को देखते हुए जिलाधिकारी ने कहा कि पंचायत राज विभाग तथा जिला पंचायत को स्वास्थ्य उप केंद्रों को मरम्मत कराने की जिम्मेदारी दी गई है । इस क्रम में उन्होंने जिला पंचायत राज अधिकारी अभय यादव से इस संबंध में रिपोर्ट भी ली। डी पी आर ओ ने कहा कि कुल 88 उपकेंद्र को जिला पंचायत राज द्वारा मरम्मत करवाया जा रहा है जिसमें से 04 का मरम्मत कार्य पूर्ण हो चुका है।
जिलाधिकारी द्वारा जिला अस्पताल में सीसीटीवी कैमरा कार्य नहीं करने की भी शिकायत को संज्ञान में लिया गया और उन्होंने इस बात पर नाराजगी जाहिर की और कहा कि सीसीटीवी कैमरे को तत्काल सक्रिय करावे।
जननी सुरक्षा योजना में भुगतान की स्थिति को भी जाना गया उन्होंने कहा कि लंबित भुगतान को जल्द निस्तारित करें। आशाओं का भुगतान समय से हो। डाटा फीडिंग को समय से व शुद्ध रूप से करने हेतु भी उन्होंने निर्देशित किया।
कुल संस्थागत प्रसव के मामले में जनपद की खराब स्थिति को देखते हुए जिलाधिकारी महोदय ने सभी एमआईसी को निर्देशित किया। विदित हो की जनपद में 31240 के लक्ष्य के सापेक्ष जून 2022 तक मात्र 9172 संस्थागत प्रसव ही हुए हैं।
हेल्थ डैश बोर्ड पर जनपद कुशीनगर की रैंकिंग पर चिंता जाहिर करते हुए डी एम ने कहा की रैंकिंग को सुधारने की जरूरत है । विदित हो कि जनपद कुशीनगर की रैंकिंग 57 है।
इस मौके पर जिलाधिकारी ने बैठक में अनुपस्थित जिला प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर को नोटिस दिए जाने हेतु सीएमओ को निर्देशित किया तथा मुख्य चिकित्सा अधीक्षक एस के वर्मा की अनुपस्थिति पर उनके आज का वेतन भी रोका गया।
उक्त बैठक के बाद राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस कार्यक्रम से संबंधित बैठक आयोजित हुई। विदित है कि 20 जुलाई से राष्ट्रीय कृमि मुक्ति दिवस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया जा रहा है, जिसमें जन जागरूकता अभियान चलाकर कृमि संक्रमण मुक्ति हेतु बताया जाएगा तथा दवाएं वितरित की जाएगी ।
बैठक में कृमि संक्रमण के लक्षण, दुष्प्रभाव, बचाव, उपचार और फायदे पर चर्चा की गई। जिलाधिकारी ने निर्देशित किया कि स्कूल एवं आंगनवाड़ी केंद्रों पर बच्चों को कृमि संक्रमण से बचाव हेतु दवाइयां उपलब्ध करवाई जाए। विदित हो कि जनपद कुशीनगर में 17 लाख 04हज़ार 178 दवाओं के वितरण का लक्ष्य निर्धारित किया गया है। इसमें विभिन्न विभागों की भूमिका को महत्वपूर्ण बताते हुए जिलाधिकारी ने कहा कि सभी विभाग अपनी जिम्मेदारियों के अनुसार अपना कार्य करें।
इस अभियान में स्वास्थ्य विभाग नोडल है ,उसके साथ आईसीडीएस, बेसिक शिक्षा विभाग,पंचायती राज एवं ग्रामीण विकास विभाग, स्वच्छ भारत मिशन आदि विभाग सम्मिलित हैं।
