उज्ज्वल भारत उज्ज्वल भविष्य विद्युत महोत्सव का आयोजन कनौडिया इंटर कॉलेज कप्तानगंज में मा0 सांसद कुशीनगर की अध्यक्षता में सम्पन्न हुई। दीप प्रज्वलित कर मा0 सांसद, मुख्य विकास अधिकारी उपमा पांडेय, उपजिलाधिकारी कप्तानगंज रत्निका श्रीवास्तव ने बिजली महोत्सव कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत की। कार्यक्रम के शुरुआत में नोडल अधिकारी पंकज राय द्वारा विद्युत विभाग की योजनाओं के बारे में बताया 
गया। इस अवसर पर मा0 सांसद कुशीनगर विजय कुमार दूबे ने कहा कि पूर्ववर्ती समय मे ग्रामीण अंचलों में संध्या होते ही लालटेन का शीशा साफ करते लोग मिल जाते थे। पूर्ववर्ती युग ढिबरी/लालटेन/केरोसिन तेल पर भरोसे का युग था। 
मा0 सांसद ने कहा कि प्रदेश को विकास के रास्ते पर लाने हेतु मुख्य स्रोत के रूप में ऊर्जा पर केंद्रित होना ही पड़ेगा।दुनिया के विकासशील देशों के विकास का मुख्य स्रोत ऊर्जा है।जब भी विकास के रूप में कदम बढ़ाएंगे तो ऊर्जा प्रमुख स्तम्भ के रूप में होगा। 
उन्होनें कहा कि सौर ऊर्जा को संचालित करेंगे तो कोयले पर निर्भर नहीं होना पड़ेगा। इस अवसर पर मा0 विधायक रामकोला विनय गौड़ ने कहा कि उत्पादन की तुलना में विद्युत खपत कम किया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि विद्युत की स्थिति पूर्व की तुलना में बेहतर हो चुकी है। बिजली बचत पर लोगों को ध्यान देने की जरूरत है।
इस अवसर पर हाटा विधायक मोहन वर्मा ने कहा कि उज्ज्वल भारत उज्जवल भविष्य विद्युत योजनाओं के माध्यम से आम जन की विद्युत संबंधी शिकायते दूर होंगी। विद्युत विभाग पारदर्शिता के साथ कार्य करे तो शासन की मंशा पूर्ण होगी। उन्होनें कहा कि ट्रांसफार्मर हेतु जमीन की उपलब्धता संबंधी समस्याओं का निराकरण किया जाएगा। मा0 दर्जा प्राप्त राज्य मंत्री राजेश्वर सिंह ने कहा कि आज विद्युत की व्यवस्था बेहतर है। बिजली बचाने का सतत प्रयास सभी की जिम्मेवारी है । इस अवसर पर मुख्य विकास अधिकारी उपमा पांडेय ने अपने संबोधन में कहा कि जितनी बिजली बचाएंगे उतनी बेहतर स्थिति में हम आएंगे।
बिजली बचत हेतु सभी को अपनी जिम्मेदारी लेनी पड़ेगी।
एक एक व्यक्ति अपनी जिम्मेदारी समझे।जो बिजली हम बचाएंगे वो भविष्य में हमारी पीढ़ी पाएंगे। बिजली बचत व संरक्षण के प्रयासों से 2047 तक बेहतर भारत का निर्माण किया जा सकता है। इस अवसर पर भाजपा जिलाध्यक्ष प्रेमचंद्र मिश्र ने ऊर्जा उत्पादन के साथ साथ उसके सरंक्षण पर प्रकाश डाला। इससे पहले कार्यक्रम में लघु फिल्मो, नुक्कड़ नाटक व भोजपुरी गायन के माध्यम से पी एम कुसुम योजना समेत विद्युत विभाग की मुख्य योजनाओं पर प्रकाश डाला गया। उक्त कार्यक्रम में विभिन्न लाभार्थीगण को प्रमाण पत्र भी वितरित किया गया। इस अवसर पर उपजिलाधिकारी कप्तानगंज रत्निका श्रीवास्तव,तहसीलदार कप्तानगंज, अधीक्षण अभियंता विद्युत आर के गुप्ता, नोडल पंकज कुमार राय, अधिशासी अभियंता कसया राघवेंद्र सिंह, अधिशासी अभियंता पडरौना जयशंकर राय, सेवरही से वीरेंद्र कुमार सिंह,हाटा से बी एल आनंद, प्रवीण कुमार चौबे, कु0 क्षमेन्द्र, अमन मलिक आदि मौजूद रहे।
