21 वृक्षों के पास पहुंचकर सत्यापन की कार्यवाही संपन्न कर रहे हैं जनपद महाराजगंज के विभिन्न रेंजों में कुल बरगद और पीपल के 21 वृक्ष क्रमशः बरगदही कुट्टी , समय माता मंदिर, सुनारी देवी मंदिर, दमकी, लक्ष्मीपुर शिवाला रुदला पुर , निचलौल रेंज के ग्राम सभा बैदौली , रायपुर, कटहरी खुर्द, नौतनवा, चैनपुर में बरगद और पीपल के कुल 21अदद सौ वर्ष पुराना वृक्ष है। उत्तर प्रदेश राज्य जैव विविधता बोर्ड के सदस्यों ने वृक्षों वृक्षों के उम्र का सत्यापन कार्य पूर्ण किया और रिपोर्ट अपने उच्चाधिकारियों को प्रेषित करने की बात कहीं।
लेकिन योगी सरकार अपने नेक नियति और निर्देश का जितना भी अनुपालन कराने का दावा कर रही हो लेकिन वन विभाग की लापरवाही और मिलीभगत से सोहगी बरवा वन्य जीव अभ्यारण दिन प्रतिदिन वीरान होता जा रहा है चाहे वह जंगल के कीमती साखू , सागौन या खैरा जैसी लकड़ियों की बात हो या धार्मिक आस्था से जुड़े वृक्षों पीपल या बरगद जैसी सैकड़ों वर्ष जीवित रहने वाली प्रजातियों की हो।
