कुशीनगर-जनपद कुशीनगर में 69 हजार शिक्षक भर्ती की द्वितीय चरण के अंतर्गत चयनित, प्राथमिक विद्यालय परेवाटार बिकास खण्ड हाटा जनपद कुशीनगर में सहायक अध्यापक के पद पर कार्यरत राजन गौड़ ब्रेन ट्यूमर से पहले से पीड़ित थे लेकिन उन्हें जानकारी नहीं थी जैसे ही जानकारी हुई तो उनकी दिल्ली के एक हास्पिटल में इलाज चलने लगा। इलाज के दौरान उन्होंने आज दिनांक 15 सितंबर 2022 की सुबह को अंतिम सांस ली। यह खबर जैसे ही मिली जिले के 
समस्त अध्यापकों के बीच शोक की लहर दौड़ गई। राजन गौंड के करीबी मित्र और प्रोफेसर टीचर एंड नान टीचिंग स्टाफ कुशीनगर के कार्यकारी जिलाध्यक्ष विजय कुमार भारती ने बताया कि राजन काफी ईमानदार, कर्तव्यनिष्ठ,सरल और सहज स्वभाव के व्यक्ति थे उनकी मिलनसार, मितव्यी और सरल स्वभाव की वजह से बिकास खण्ड के अध्यापकों से मधुर सम्बन्ध स्थापित थे। इनकी मृत्यु की खबर सुनकर सभी हतप्रध हैं। जनपद के अध्यापकों ने इस शोक की घड़ी में उनके शोकाकुल परिवार के प्रति संवेदना व्यक्त करते हुए उनकी आत्मा की शांति हेतु विनम्र अश्रुपूर्ण श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित किया।
