02 अक्टूबर को गांधी जयंती समारोह सम्मान पूर्वक मनाए जाने के संबंध में तैयारी बैठक अपर जिलाधिकारी देवी दयाल वर्मा की अध्यक्षता में कलेक्ट्रेट सभागार में संपन्न हुई। अपर जिलाधिकारी ने उपस्थित सभी अधिकारियों को संबोधित करते हुए गांधी जयंती समारोह को मनाए जाने के संबंध में दिशा निर्देश दिए। इस क्रम में 02 अक्टूबर को कार्यक्रम की रूप रेखा बताते हुए ए डी एम ने कहा कि प्रातः 8:00 बजे सभी राजकीय भवनों पर राष्ट्रीय ध्वज फहराया जाएगा। गांधी जी के चित्र पर अनावरण व माल्यार्पण किया जाएगा। गांधी जी के विचारों पर गोष्ठी आयोजित की जाएगी। अनावरण व माल्यार्पण के उपरांत खादी ग्राम उद्योग एवं रेशम से संबंधित 
प्रदर्शनी का आयोजन कलेक्ट्रेट में किया जाएगा। इसके साथ ही कलेक्ट्रेट परिसर में वृक्षारोपण कार्यक्रम भी आयोजित की जाएगी। प्रातः 9:00 बजे क्षेत्रों में मलिन बस्तियों की सफाई हेतु कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया जाएगा। इसके लिए नगरीय क्षेत्रों में संबंधित अधिशासी अधिकारी व ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों में जिला पंचायत राज अधिकारी को निर्देशित किया गया। अपर जिलाधिकारी ने उपस्थित अधिकारीगणों को निर्देशित किया कि प्रातः 9:30 बजे जिला क्रीड़ा अधिकारी द्वारा स्टेडियम में बालक बालिकाओं की दौड़ प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया जाएगा। दिनांक 02 अक्टूबर को शासन के निर्देशानुसार जनपद में सभी शराब की दुकानों बंद रहेगी। सभी विभागाध्यक्ष /कार्यालय अध्यक्ष अपने अपने कार्यालय को राष्ट्रीय स्वच्छता अभियान के अंतर्गत सफाई करावे व सरकारी कार्यालयों में तंबाकू, गुटखा, पान मसाला इत्यादि प्रतिबंधित हो यह सुनिश्चित करावें। अपर जिलाधिकारी ने निर्देशित करते हुए बताया कि 02 अक्टूबर को सफाई अभियान व प्लास्टिक मुक्त अभियान वृहद स्तर पर कराया जाए। समारोह को सफाई, सादगी ,स्वच्छता और भव्यता के साथ मनाए जाने हेतु अपर जिलाधिकारी ने निर्देशित किया। उन्होनें कहा कि त्योंहारों की गरिमा तभी माना जाएगी जब त्योहारों को अनुशासन के साथ मनाया जाए। इस अवसर पर सभी जनपद स्तरीय अधिकारी गण मौजूद रहे।
