जनपद में केला महोत्सव के आयोजन सम्बन्धी आवश्यक बैठक कलेक्ट्रेट सभागार में जिलाधिकारी एस0 राजलिंगम की अध्यक्षता में सम्पन्न की गयी।
जिलाधिकारी ने महोत्सव में केला से बनने वाले विभिन्न उत्पाद एवं उसके तने के रेशे से बनने वाली सामग्री को प्रदर्शित करने का सुझाव दिया,जिसे जनपद के कृषक देख कर इस उद्योग को अपनाने को आकर्षित हों। महोत्सव के आयोजन हेतु मार्च 2021 का प्रथम सप्ताह प्रस्तावित किया गया।
जिलाधिकारी ने केला रेशे से बने उत्पाद सहित केले के छिलके/फूल /पत्ते सभी का उपयोग हो सके इसके लिए उन्होंने विभागीय/इससे जुड़े कृषकों का एक दल तमिलनाडु भेजने का निर्देश दिए ताकी वहां रिसर्च सेंटर से और अधिक जानकारी मिल सके व कुछ सीख सकें। जिलाधिकारी ने ये भी निर्देशित किया कि केले से बने उत्पाद सम्बन्धी कम्पनियों को भी इस महोत्सव में बुलाया जाय,तथा केले से जुड़े सभी उत्पादों को महोत्सव में समिलित किये जायें। बैठक दौरान ही जिलाधिकारी द्वारा इस छेत्र के विशेषज्ञों द्वारा वार्ता की गई तथा इस जनपद हेतु प्रोडक्ट स्थापित करने की भी चर्चा की गयी।
