महानिदेशक नागर विमानन भारत सरकार द्वारा कुशीनगर एयरपोर्ट को एरोड्रम लाइसेन्स प्राप्त

उत्तर प्रदेश के नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री श्री नन्द गोपाल गुप्ता ‘नन्दी’ ने आज बताया कि देश के यशस्वी प्रधानमंत्री आदरणीय नरेन्द्र मोदी जी की प्रेरणा एवं उत्तर प्रदेश के कर्मयोगी मुख्यमंत्री श्रद्धेय योगी आदित्यनाथ जी के नेतृत्व में उत्तर प्रदेश नागरिक उड्डयन विभाग प्रतिदिन आशातीत प्रगति की ओर उन्मुख है। उन्होंने कहा कि कुशीनगर अत्यन्त ही प्राचीन एवं ऐतिहासिक स्थल है जहाँ महात्मा बुद्ध का महापरिनिर्वाण हुआ था। यहाँ अनेक देशों द्वारा निर्मित अत्यंत वृहद् एवं सुंदर बौद्ध मंदिर स्थित है जहाँ विश्व भर के लाखों देशी व विदेशी पर्यटक भ्रमण के लिये आते हैं। पर्यटकों एवं तीर्थयात्रियों हेतु हवाई सुविधा सुनिश्चित किए जाने हेतु माननीय मुख्यमंत्री जी द्वारा कुशीनगर हवाई अड्डे के विकास का निर्णय लिया जिसे माननीय प्रधानमंत्री जी द्वारा वर्ष 2020 में अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा घोषित किया। पूर्व में जनपद कुशीनगर के कसया में राज्य सरकार द्वारा 101 एकड़ भूमि पर 1644 मीटर ग् 23 मीटर रनवे आकार की हवाई पट्टी का निर्माण किया गया था। दिनांक 15 जनवरी, 2010 द्वारा हवाई पट्टी को उच्चीकृत कर अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट के रूप में विकसित करने का निर्णय लिया गया जिस हेतु कुल भूमि 589.35 एकड़ भूमि राज्य सरकार द्वारा क्रय की गई परंतु अगले 7 वर्ष तक कोई निर्माण शुरू नहीं हो सका। मंत्री नन्दी ने बताया कि वर्तमान प्रदेश सरकार ने एयरपोर्ट के निर्माण कार्य हेतु रू0 199.42 करोड़ की धनराशि स्वीकृत की गई तथा विकास कार्यों को त्वरित गति से सम्पन्न कराया।

श्री नंदी ने बताया कि भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरण व राज्य सरकार के मध्य सम्पादित एम0ओ0यू0 के तहत दिनांक 04 अक्टूबर, 2019 को कुशीनगर एयरपोर्ट संचालन हेतु भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरण को हस्तांतरित किया गया। कुशीनगर एयरपोर्ट वर्तमान में आरसीएस स्कीम के अंतर्गत चयनित है। मानकों के अनुरूप राज्य सरकार द्वारा कुशीनगर हवाई अड्डे से सम्बन्धित कार्य यथा- रनवे, अप्रोच रोड, पेरिफेरल रोड, ड्रेनेज का कार्य, बाउण्ड्रीवाल, एटीसी टावर, फायर स्टेशन, भूमिगत टैंक इत्यादि कार्य पूर्ण कराए गए व लाइसेन्स हेतु आवेदन किया गया। कुशीनगर अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय एयरपोर्ट से वायु सेवाओं के संचालन हेतु भारत सरकार द्वारा दिनांक 22.02.2021 को एयरोड्रोम लाइसेंस प्रदान कर दिया गया है। इस प्रकार लखनऊ व वाराणसी के बाद कुशीनगर उत्तर प्रदेश का तीसरा लाईसेन्स एअरपोर्ट बन गया है तथा कुल 9 हवाई अड्डे प्रदेश में तैयार हो गए है जहां 2017 में मात्र 4 हवाई अड्डे क्रियाशील थे। मंत्री ने ये भी बताया कि बरेली हवाई अड्डे से प्रथम उड़ान 8 मार्च 2021 को आरम्भ हो रही है। इस प्रकार कुशीनगर अंतरराष्ट्रीय हवाई अड्डा अब वायु सेवाओं के संचालन हेतु पूर्ण रूप से तैयार है।
श्री नंदी ने कहा कि एयर कनेक्टिविटी के माध्यम से उत्तर प्रदेश आध्यात्मिक पर्यटन के केंद्र के रूप में स्थापित हो रहा है। इसी क्रम में आज कुशीनगर एयरपोर्ट को महानिदेशक नागर विमानन भारत सरकार के द्वारा एरोड्रम लाइसेन्स प्राप्त हो गया है। इसका मतलब यह है कि अब कुशीनगर एयरपोर्ट पूर्ण रूप से राष्ट्रीय और अन्तर्राष्ट्रीय उड़ान के लिए तैयार है। श्री नंदी ने कहा कि मैं आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री जी का और प्रदेश के यशस्वी मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ जी के कुशल नेतृत्व के प्रति अभार व्यक्त करता हूँ और उत्तर प्रदेश वासियों को अपनी शुभकामनाएं देता हँ।
श्री नंदी ने कहा कि यह प्रदेश लिए बहुत बड़ी उपलब्धि है, क्योंकि अब तक उत्तर प्रदेश में केवल दो एयरपोर्ट ऐसे थे जो इण्टरनेशनली फंक्सनल हैं। एक राजधानी लखनऊ में स्थित है और दूसरा बनारस में है। ये दो इण्टरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट के बाद अब ये तीसरा कुशीनगर एयरपोर्ट भी इण्टरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट हो जायेगा। ये पूरे प्रदेशवासियों के साथ-साथ सरकार को भी अपने आप में गौरवान्वित करता है। उत्तर प्रदेश में पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने में इसकी अहम भूमिका होगी क्योंकि अगर कुशीनगर को बौद्ध सर्किट के दृष्टि से देखेंगे, तो यह सेन्टर प्लेस है और आज तथागत बुद्ध की महापरिनिर्वाण स्थली कुशीनगर स्थित निर्माणाधीन एरयपोर्ट को डी0जी0सी0ए0 ने पूर्ण रूप से इण्टरनेशनल एयरपोर्ट का दर्जा दे दिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि हवाई अड्डे के संचालन से प्रदेश के पूर्वी क्षेत्र में रोजगार के अनेक अवसर सृजित होंगे व सम्पूर्ण क्षेत्र का सामाजिक व आर्थिक विकास सुनिश्चित होगा।
