वही गोरखपुर मेल पेपर के माध्यम से उनवल के सफाई कर्मियों ने अपनी पीड़ा बताते हुए कहा कि हम लोगों के वेतन में बार-बार कटौती की जा रही है। यहां तक कि हम लोगों को पीएफ भी नहीं मिलता है। सफाई नायक भरत, राकेश, श्री किसून, सोनू ने वेतन को लेकर अपना दर्द बताते हुए कहा कि लगभग तीन साल से यह काम हो रहा जिसकी जानकारी किसी भी सफाई कर्मचारी को नहीं है। मतलब काम का दाम भी नहीं, और ऊपर से नगर प्रशासन द्वारा निकालने की धमकी दी जाने से सफाई कर्मचारी बहुत परेशान दिखे।
सफाई कर्मियों के हक को लेकर लड़ने वाले नगर पंचायत उनवल वार्ड नंबर 6 के सभासद रंजय त्रिपाठी ने नगर प्रशासन उनवल के उपर आरोप लगाते हुए बताया की आज तक न कोई पीएफ और न ही समय से बेतन की व्यवस्था हुआ उन्होंने उत्तर प्रदेश के सीएम और डीएम गोरखपुर से यह माँग किया है कि एक सक्षम अधिकारी को नियुक्त कर जांच कराया जाए कि 3 साल तक नगर पंचायत उनवल के सफाई कर्मियों का पीएफ कहां गया और उनका वेतन कटौती के बीच का पैसा कहा गया। इसकी जाँच होकर कार्यवाही की जाय।
वही नगर पंचायत उनवल के अधिशासी अधिकारी मनोज कुमार श्रीवास्तव से सफाई कर्मियों के वेतन और कटौती के मामले पूछने पर उन्होंने बताया कि नगर विकास उत्तर प्रदेश द्वारा जो वेतन सफाई कर्मियों के लिए निर्धारित किया गया है वह उनको मिलेगा। उनके साथ कोई भी नाइंसाफी नहीं होगी।
