गोरखपुर/उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ,पूर्वांचल को जल्द वेटनरी मेडिकल कॉलेज की सौगात दे सकते हैं। वेटनरी मेडिकल कॉलेज का निर्माण चरगावा स्थित पशुपालन विभाग को सौंपी जा चुकी कृषि विभाग से अधिग्रहित की गई 30 एकड़ जमीन पर होगा। मेडिकल कॉलेज के शोध कार्यो, कृर्षि फार्म और डेयरी निर्माण के लिए अवशेष 12 एकड़ जमीन फर्टिलाइजर में पशुपालन विभाग को दी गई है। जमीन की समस्या का समाधान होने के बाद अब वेटनरी मेडिकल कालेज के शिलान्यास का रास्त साफ हो गया है। जमीन  का प्रस्ताव स्वीकृति के लिए शासन में भेज दिया गया है। वेटनरी मेडिकल कालेज के निर्माण को लेकर मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ की गंभीरता का आंकलन इसी बात से लगा सकते हैं कि उन्होंने कई बार न केवल अपने उदबोधन में इसका जिक्र किया कि इससे पूर्वांचल के पशुपालकों को काफी फायदा मिलेगा। नए शोध के साथ पशुपालकों की आय बढ़ाने में मदद मिलेगी। यही नहीं, उन्होंने 40 करोड़ रुपये वेटनरी मेडिकल कालेज निर्माण के निर्माण के लिए पिछले बजट में ही दे चुके हैं। लोक निर्माण विभाग ने निर्माण के लिए 325 करोड़ रुपये की डीपीआर भी तैयार कर ली है जिसे व्यय वित्त समिति की मंजूरी भी मिल चुकी है। स्नातक की 80 सीटें से शुरू होगा वेटनरी मेडिकल कालेज यह वेटनरी कालेज पंडित दीन दयाल उपाध्याय पशु चिकित्सा विश्वविद्यालय एवं गो अनुसंधान केंद्र मथुरा से संबद्ध होगा। शुरू में यहां 80 सीटें होंगी, जिसे बाद में बढ़ाया जा सकता है। मथुरा में विवि के अलावा मेरठ, फैजाबाद व बीएचयू वाराणसी में भी वेटनरी मेडिकल कालेज है। मेडिकल कालेज से पशुपालकों को मिलेगी सुविधाएं पशु चिकित्सक डॉ संजय कुमार श्रीवास्तव कहते हैं कि इस कालेज के निर्माण से पूर्वांचल के पशुपालकों को काफी सुविधाएं मिलेगी। कालेज में शोध कार्य के लिए पशुपालन किया जाएगा। चारागाह, डेरी फार्म, बकरी व भेड़ फार्म एवं पोल्ट्री फार्म भी बनाए जाएंगे। डेयरी प्रोडक्ट बनाने के लिए प्रसंस्करण केंद्र भी होगा। यहां इंडियन वेटनरी रिसर्च इंसटीट्यूट बरेली की तरह कई तरह के शोध हो सकेंगे।
