गोरखपुर/कोरोना महामारी का संक्रमण मासूमों के लिए जानलेवा बनता जा रहा है। शुक्रवार को चार साल के मासूम की मौत बीआरडी मेडिकल कालेज में इलाज के दौरान हो गई। बीते आठ दिनों में कोविड के प्रकोप से इलाज के दौरान बच्चों की मौत का यह दूसरा मामला है। इसके पहले सिद्धार्थनगर के एक 10 साल के बच्चे की मौत हुई थी।
कोरोना संक्रमण की तीसरी लहर में बच्चों में संक्रमण के खतरे की आशंका जताई जा रही है। हालांकि दूसरी लहर में 14 वर्षीय से कम उम्र के बच्चे ज्यादा संक्रमित नहीं हुए। जो बच्चे संक्रमित हुए उनमें से ज्यादातर ठीक हो गए। सिर्फ 80 बच्चों को भर्ती कर इलाज की जरूरत पड़ी थी। बीआरडी मेडिकल कालेज में बच्चों की मौत का यह दूसरा मामला है। इसके अलावा 16 संक्रमितों की मौत हो गई। कुल 17 में से सात मरीज गोरखपुर के थे। संक्रमण के नमूनों की जांच में इस माह तीसरी बार संक्रमितों की संख्या राहत देने वाली है। 581 लोगों की रिपोर्ट पाजिटिव आई है। इसमें 348 शहर के हैं। इसके पहले 12 मई को 415 व आठ मई को 540 संक्रमित मिले थे।
सीएमओ डा. सुधाकर पांडेय ने बताया कि जिले में संक्रमितों की संख्या 53247 हो गई है। 554 की मौत हो चुकी है। 45240 लोग स्वस्थ हो चुके हैं। 7453 सक्रिय मरीज हैं। गोरखपुर के गोला व चौरी चौरा की एक-एक महिला, खोराबार व चिलुआताल के एक-एक व्यक्ति बीआरडी मेडिकल कालेज के कोरोना वार्ड में भर्ती थे। शुक्रवार को उनकी मौत हो गई। इसी वार्ड में कैंट क्षेत्र के 74 वर्षीय व्यक्ति, पीपीगंज के तिघरा निवासी 4 साल के मासूम, गुलरिहा के 70 वर्षीय व्यक्ति ने भी अंतिम सांस ली। इसके अलावा कुशीनगर के चार, बिहार के दो, देवरिया के दो, संत कबीर नगर, बलरामपुर के एक-एक मरीजों की मौत हो गई।
